It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

OMG I am feeling so nervous and excited at the moment!! Only 1 week and 1 day until my first yr of my course is over... it also means im in a bit of a scramble madly trying to get everything finished to hand in.
Im very excited because i have finished and handed in my final drawing assignment and i have finished my computer assignment, im so close to having my graphic design one done and even closer to finishing my one for colour class. Now im just worried about getting the illustration one and exploratory design ones finished, but thats what today and the weekend are for! Then a whole 2 1/2 months of holidays! YAY!!!
I also just finished designing and making my very own website which shows off some of my art (and will have some of my design stuff up soon as well) and lets ppl know about the commission work i do and different prices i charge for line work, coloured work, A4 and A3, design work including logos, posters etc and photomanipulation art. I love doing commissioned work and soon im going to have lots of time to spend on doing it so if any one is interested, just send me a note or write me a msg or even email me.

yay 1st comment!! good to see u have been well had a quick browse through your site, not bad, will be better when u get your own domain though so those pesky ads are not there. i'm seriously thinking about saving my money and moving ur way to apply for this course, sounds a lot like something i want to do, instead of just drawing for fun, why not make money of it too. you coming down here during xmas? i haven't spoken to him for about 2 months now but last time i did Coxy said something about also coming down was thinking we could all get together for drinks or something. anyway keep up the very good work.

yeah its been awhile, i'm still not sure exactly if coxy is coming like i said only hear from him every couple of months, and shaun? as in beehag? and yeah a few of the old crew have changed, tate hasn't though, still the same old cockhead that we all like to a degree. and i'll warn you about erin and her bf,and tate and that, when they get together they try to use ya, for money and shit, to pay for their smoking and drinking habits so just tell them you have none. but otherwsie its still the same old scenario whenever i do go drink with them. i have to lie sometimes cause they ring almost everyday at times. plus i don't drink that much anymore. Is Tiff an Shannon coming down as well?

really...whats tiff doing over that way? and cool be cool to catch up with shannon again he's a good bloke, i think he didn't think i liked him though??? will have to try and get in contact with monkey as well, i rarely see him now. if we are going to do it may as well get everyone in on it.

yeah that's what i reckon about tate and that, i still talk to them but keep my distance otherwise they try to get too close so they can use ya i guess.

U actually might fit in my suitcase lol.. the job is for this rich accountant and its his gf's 21st bday soon so he's commissioned me to do an illustration of her life featuring 4 key moments that have shaped her and a portrait of her in the middle. She is a Bosnian refugee and survived the war so those are two parts and her journey to Australia and her steps into the future symbolised by a hill are the other parts, and shes gorgeous so i cant wait to draw her.

and i get $720 for doing it!!
