Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Watchmen (comp twisted fairy tale still going)

Enter this competition for a fun activity and funky prizes.

I just saw Watchmen and man did i enjoy it! The imagery and cinematography in it plus the characters and story was fantastic!
It had a very comic book style of story telling for a comic book movie which made it feel even closer to the comics and it was so graphic!

WELL EVERYONE, AS THE TITLE SUGGESTS I AM HOLDING A COMPETITION!! The theme is Twisted Fairy Tale by popular demand.
These are the fairy tales u can choose from:
Sleeping Beauty, Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White, The Little Mermaid or The Pied Piper.

The rules are as follows: *You may use any media you like*

1. Choose a fairy tale from the above titles.

2. Choose something from your fairy tale that distinguishes it as that particular fairy tale to incorporate into your artwork.

3. Illustrate your twisted idea into a beautifully creepy or naughty artwork.

4. Let me know what fairy tale you have chosen and when you have finished send me a link to your picture so i can add your entry to my journal.

5. VOTING: I will write a journal specifically for voting with all your entries so ppl can vote for the entry they want to win.

6. DEADLINE is 30th of APRIL, so you will have plenty of time to get your entries in.
